About Me

I am a Full Professor of Psychology at Georgetown University, and Co-Director of the Psychology Department’s Graduate Program and of Georgetown’s Context, Development and Social Policy Lab. With a PhD in Child Development, I have vast substantive knowledge of what children need and how to optimize development. My professional focus on education policy evaluation has led me to advise local education leaders; combined with my personal experiences (I am a 4th generation DC-native and graduate of DC private schools with kids in DC Public and private schools), I’ve got multi-dimensional DC-specific expertise that I will leverage to help you navigate the process of finding the right school.
